The most an average human can make is 5.9 mph. I felt the film also makes you realise the devastating power of wildfires, just how fast they can suddenly change course and gather in terrifying speed like a wave and there's no way a human can outrun its path, its going 10-20 mph. There are also some interesting critical articles and videos worth reading after watching this movie on the internet, from families and professionals. If you don't know their story I won't spoil it here, but I will say I was hit like a sledgehammer with what happened - I was almost too stunned to cry. This film isn't a fast paced action film, it focuses on developing the characters and their relationships as well as (for me anyway) - introducing you to the everyday realities, strategies and tools these teams use to monitor and slow the course of a wildfire, its also quite shocking to see power politics involved too.
I watched this film based on reviews, the actors and that it was based on true events.
